This notice explains how Vidro Ltd (“Vidro”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit www.vidro.io or get in touch with us. It’s short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Vidro Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at:
Vidro Ltd126 Southdown Road, Harpenden, AL5 1QQ, United Kingdom

What we collect and why
When you contact us
If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message, plus your company and phone number if you choose to share them. We use this only to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to manage that relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider processes the technical information needed to deliver pages securely, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It is used to run and protect the site, which is in our legitimate interest, and is kept only for a short period.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and cannot identify you: visits are counted using a temporary hash that is discarded after 24 hours. We only ever see aggregated figures such as pages viewed, referring sites, country, device type and browser. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
We don’t use your information for marketing, we don’t sell it, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf, under contract:
- Vercel, for website hosting and analytics.
- Resend, which delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Google Workspace, for our email.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal information leaves the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for up to two years after our last contact. If we start working together, we keep records for as long as that work and our legal obligations require. Hosting logs are kept briefly by our hosting provider, and analytics contain no personal information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive your information in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email contact@vidro.io. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s normally no charge.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies, or similar technologies such as local storage, to track you. Our analytics are cookie-free, our fonts are served from our own domain, and we don’t embed third-party trackers, so there’s no cookie banner. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
